Summertime will be a love-in there

ontem não foi um dia muito feliz para Portugal. e nós (eu e a little miss gucci) ainda por cima fomos ver o jogo bye-bye Mundial a casa das nossas amigas espanholas. claro que foi divertidíssimo, porque é tudo cheio de fair play, mas no fim não ficámos super contentes. no meio das minis (sim, descobrimos minis no supermercado aqui ao lado de casa!!), do salero das espanholas e de muitas revistas Hola para animar - um pouco de fofocas faz sempre bem - fizemos um zapping e voilà, um filme com a minha francesa preferida de sempre, a Jane Birkin. adoro as roupas pseudo-hippies, o cabelo escorrido tão sixties, o lápis kohl nos olhos (tããããããão francês!), as calças de ganga à boca de sino, o cesto de verga... só me dá vontade de ouvir isto o dia todo e emigrar para os anos sessenta directamente para um summer of love cheio de flowers in the hair. não é a melhor década de sempre?

yesterday it was not a good day for Portgal. we (me and little miss gucci) went to our spanish friends house to watch the bye-bye World Cup match. evidently, it was super fun because everyone has a lot of fairplay but still, in the end, we were not that happy. amongst Minis (portuguese beer, that we found in the supermarket right next to our place), spanish salero and Hola magazines - a little bit of gossip is always a cheer up - we did some zapping and voilà, a movie with my all time favourite frenchie, Jane Birkin. i love the pseudo-hippie outfits, the straight hair oh-so-sixties, the kôhl eyeliner (sooooo french!), the bell bottom jeans, the straw basket... oh, i just feel like listening to this all day long and travel all the way back to the sixties, for a summer of love filled with flowers in the hair. is'nt this the best decade ever?

spotted cycling around Colette. foi ontem que, meio tipsies, meio mortas de calor, meio a rir, meio a andar, vimos o Mr. Sartorialist na sua Velib e de máquina ao peito. foi a histeria entre mim, little miss chanel e as nossas amigas. digno de registo foi também a cara do namorado de uma delas que, ainda não refeito de um almoço no meio de cinco raparigas todas a estudar moda (ele era o único rapaz), foi levado para a Colette a fim de aferir a legitimidade de um crush de uma da nossa turma por um empregado da Colette (e que nós concluímos que era completamente gay - c'est la vie em Paris), e ficou ainda mais abananado quando cinco miúdas começaram aos gritinhos por verem um homem atarracado (é verdade, ele é atarracado), de calções muito tropego na biciclete. foi um grande momento!

ps - há inúmeras expressões neste post que eu não sei como traduzir para inglês, entre elas, atarracado, abananado... ah minha querida língua portuguesa! ah minha querida men's fashion week

spotted cycling around Colette. it was yesterday that we, half tispies, half desperates with the heat, half laughing, half walking, saw Mr. Sartorialist riding his Velib and carrying his camera. it was crazy between me, little miss chanel and our friends. what was also funny, it was one of our friends boyfriend that, not completely recovered from a lunch with five fashion students (he was the only boy), was dragged into Colette to judge the cuteness of an sales assistant that was a crush of our friend (which we conclude to be completely gay - c'est la vie en paris), got even more perplexed when he saw five chicks screaming and giggling over a stubby man (it's true, Scott Schuman is stubby), wearing shorts and ridding a bike. it was epic!

Hello Summer :)

by this is our thing

finalmente está calor em Paris. já dá para usar light dresses, calções, tops e deixar o casaco em casa. finalmente podemos pintar as unhas da cor do arco-íris e finalmente temos vontade de usar cor até enjoar! aqui, as pessoas andam mais leves, e nós mais alegres. as aulas estão acabar (oficialmente hoje é o último dia), e as férias já não nos saem da cabeça. este fim-de-semana vamos poder passear e até ir à Colette! além disso, é a men's Fashion Week e esperamos ver loads of cute guys (de preferência straight)! hihihi. btw, enjoy our splashes of color!

finally it's warm in Paris. we can now wear light dresses, shorts and tank tops and leave our jackets at home. Finally we can use flashy nail polish and flashy colors. here, people are merrier and we are even happier. school is finishing (today is officially the last day), and holidays are here to stay. this weekend we'll be able to walk around the town, and even go to Colette! it's Man fashion Week, and I hope this city to be filled with cute guys (preferably straight!)hihihi. btw, enjoy our splashes of color!

This is (not) the end

esta semana foi de loucos. ainda estamos a meio, mas para mim já sabe a sexta porque tivemos de entregar um trabalho (uma colecção inteira, com plano de colecção, tecidos, desenhos, etc...) e um teste, mais apresentações... mas enfim, acaba agora.

amanhã é o último dia de aulas e, apesar de estar mesmo a precisar de uma pausa, sabe a pouco. os seis meses passaram a voar, fizemos amigos, trabalhámos muito, aprendemos imenso, divertimo-nos ainda mais. não é tempo de balanços, porque isto não é um fim, mas sim um começo. porque os dog days are over, e as férias e a lot of fun começam agora!

this week was crazy. it's still thursday but it feels like friday already because we had a big project (a whole collection, with collection plan, fabrics, designs, etc...) a test, presentations... but well, it ends now.

tomorrow it's the last day of school but, even though I really need a break, I kind of feel it's not enough. this six months went by so fast, we meet new people, made friends, worked a lot, learned a lot and we had a lot of fun! but ok, this is not time to think that this is the end. because actually, it's the begining. the dog days are over and the fun starts now!!!

this is the place where i want to be today. far from the city, far from the noise, far from work. just perfect white sand, the sun and a deep, beautiful turquoise sea.

é segunda-feira e o fim-de-semana foi bom... saídas de mais à noite (despedidas de amigos, e o que era só para ser um copo acabou por ser uma noitada), muito frio (mínimas de 8 graus), estudar, fazer colecções, supermercado e ainda fazer a sopa. mas foi bom, mesmo esquecendo a ressaca! a única coisa que me anda a apoquentar é esta ausência de sol. seriously, estamos em meados de Junho e parece que estou há três meses em Março! por isso, porque já não sei o que hei-de vestir e porque hoje saí de casa com 12ºC, deixo estas imagens que me aqueceram a alma nesta manhã fria (gelada!) de Junho.

it's monday and the weekend was quite good! we went out too much (friends leaving Paris and, what was just drinks, ended up being late hour party), very low temperatures (8ºC), studying, putting a collection together, grocery shopping, making soup... but in the end, it was good, despite the constant hangover! the only thing that's bothering me is this crazy weather. seriously, it's mid-June and it seems like March! because I don't know anymore what to dress and I left my place when the thermometer marked 12ºC, I leave you these pictures that warmth my soul in this very cold (freezing) monday morning of June.
